That is volcanic rock cooking the meat. The rock comes to the table at 750 degrees F (399C). DO NOT TOUCH IT!

It did not take very long before the steak and tuna reached the temperatures that I liked. If my meal was over-cooked or under-cooked it would have been my own fault.

Valentine's Day is also, our friend, Diana's birthday. We helped her celebrate at Kokoro's Japanese Bistro.
Every guest at Kokoro's were given a complimentary desert on Valentine's Day.
