February 17, 2009

After a heavy rainshower, last week, I noticed a water leak in our main cabin. I traced it to the butterfly hatch.
I had to scrape out the old chaulking that had deteriorated under a barrage of UV rays over the years.
After reseating the windows I resealed the edges, inside and out. I thought it would take me about two hours... it took five.

And how many times did you climb up and down the companionway for just another tool? Chris

Lots of work eh. I'm amazed how much work you do have go put into her before each annual sail.

Always maintenance on a boat, (as well as a house), but look at the pleasure it gives you!

5 hours, but it was done right, I am sure!

Better than salt water at sea.
Sounds like a boat is a never ending labour of love. (Or hate).
