My daughter and I crossed the snow field in the middle of the valley to get a clear view of the Dome.
The weather was in the low 30F, not too cold to bundle excessively ourselves and to slow down the process in the open field, yet calm air. However as we were toiling with the camera gadgets in the knee-deep of snow cover, our snow shoes, or lack of, started to get the frozen chill to the toes, and slowly to the fingers. We moved several times to the best position of the frame, and felt a couple of times in the snow around us as we made new walking tracks to the best angle. My daughter made suggestions of the new angle perspectives of the foreground tree as we recorded the images with different lenses and filters sharing between us, as she enjoyed the new experience of photography. The results were two images created in less than an hour, from the perspective of vast empty snow field of the valley, scattering with a few folks enjoying the snow here and there. Some stretched themselves on their lawn chair on the snow harnessing the warm sun, California style!
