Clunie Valley

Braemar, Aberdeenshire

It was cold, frosty and misty this morning
but the skies just about cleared long enough
for the hilltops to catch the rising sun.

Love the hint of sunlight on the upper fells.
Have a great Hogmanay Stewart.

Beautifully minimal winter's shot, Stewart - love the muted tones and hues on the hillside, but the pale sun hitting the hilltops is just lovely. Sure looks cold, though. V

I can feel the cold in my bones - looks like we were trotting around the same area today - has a great feel to it

Some interesting patterns on the hillsides, as well as the lovely sunshine.

Almost volcanic ... Mesmorising image!
