Set on the east coast between Whangarei and the Bay of Islands, Matapouri is small community of beach cottages set down by an almost perfectly circular little bay.
You sent me to look at your NZ photos from Cambridge in Colour, I am glad you did. I haven't looked at many yet, but if they are all as good as this one and the ones around it then they certainly get better than an A+++ from me.
Love this one. Maybe North Island Beaches are better than the South, but in my totally biased view South Island scenery is almost unrivalled.
