I have a fine friend in Ben Sota. He and his partners Erin, Mike and friends, are theater bards and acrobats who perform for the Zany Brothers Umbrella Circus. They travel the world doing their performances to audiences world wide. Recently they were on tour in Ethiopia and Jordan. I met them in Pittsburgh several years ago and since then have seen them in several places. Ben asked me to design a backdrop for their most recent skit. The skit has four movements which incorporate the four seasons.

Autumn is a story of a dreaming girl who wants nothing more than to be with the birds. She spends her time in the trees. A time comes for her to return to home for her family misses her. So long as it's been, she is afraid to come down from her perch in the tree. The animals of the forest offer their help by dropping leaves over here. The leaves become a sort of magic carpet, allowing for a safe and easy passage to the ground.
