Milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum)

This beautiful snake was found underneath an old car hood, part of an abandoned car by the trail. It is close to shedding its skin (see the cloudy eyes). After a few photos, we put the snake back to go about its business.

Christine.......you just run into the neatest things on your walks. This one is a little closer than I would like to get, but it is really beautiful. Vote :)
