Although head structure reminds of LBBG over YLG I agree with Gabi that the bird probably is a michahellis - and firstly - rather than atlantis, due to more advanced moult - especially coverts and palness of the haed and underparts. However, can a LBBG be excluded? Bill size/shape favours YLG though, but some LBBG are close in this respect.

I agree with Gabi. For me this one is a YLG.
Of course I am far to be an expert but I have spent a lot of time watching gulls in Canary Islands.
Headshape and powerful bill makes YLG good candidate, subscribing others Gabi´s comments.
Cheers.

Hello,
juvenile Canarian Yellow-Legged Gulls are not always distinguisable from Lesser Black-Backed. I think this bird is a michahellis, due to quite advanced post-juvenile moult (many rear scapulars, great and median coverts, etc). The bill is strong as well, with marked gonys.
