Mile High Color

At 6,643' Clingman's Dome is the highest point in Tennessee and the 2nd highest peak east of the Mississippi. Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina at 6,684' is the highest peak. We were too early for a lot of color at lower elevations. In fact, anything below 6,500 feet was still green.
