Big Buddha From Afar

Lantau Island, Hong Kong view map

The world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha
“Tian Tan Buddha” is located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
It represents the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion.

It is the only great Buddha that faces north while all others in the world face south.
It symbolizes Hong Kong’s return to Mainland China (the north of Hong Kong).

The sky enhances the magic serenity of the scenery... and it makes me think that no matter where we live on the planet, we share the same moon, the same stars, the same sun and the same scenery in the sky. All those clouds are familiar to all of us...it would be nice if all of us could share the same peace (no wars for any reason).
