I can recall these times quite well and I can testify to the courage and the bravery of these wonderful young men in 1944.I was a little girl and I fell in love with them and there strange accents and cheeky ways. They were a different breed, we took them to our hearts and welcomed them into our homes, we didn't have much but we tried our best.I tell you they broke a lot of hearts. I was too young alas.I love the USA and we owe them a lot.
