Church of the Birth of Holy Mother of God, built around 1600, all wooden with roofs made of shingle. It has a three-room structure. Each of the three square rooms are arranged in line, and topped by a dome.
The church features a wide overhang, or eaves, encircling it at ground level. It was built for people who were coming for an early morning Sunday mass, they used to arrive from distant villages already on Sat. evening.
They could hide from rain, wind or snow under this low wooden side roofing, while waiting till the next day.
Also, there is a porch, or a balcony, at the upper level that encircles only the narthex.
