Distinctive Character

Hong Kong view map

Clowns and females are the most distinctive characters in a Chaozhou opera.

The majority of the Operatic Clothing design came from the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368 -1644).
The magnificent embroideries, the gorgeous headdresses, the hair ornaments, the elongated eyebrows
and bright red lips are the most eye-catching features of the artists.

Indeed an masterpiece of closing. Must be quite a challenge for the designers to make those costumes for the opera. And the hair makeup as well. Excellent photograph. V
