Chaozhou Opera is a local opera performed in Chaozhou dialect.
Although it is not as prominent as Beijing Opera,
it still has its fans in Hong Kong and Southeastern Asia.
However, the popularity of Chaozhau opera has declined gradually.
The evolution of the Chaozhau opera over the past 430 years
has developed its unique artistic form and style.
It is melodious, gentle and sweet, full of emotions.
The grand gong and drum with a blend of orchestral music are harmonious and full of changing emotions.
Based on legendary folk stories or actual events, hundreds of plays were developed over the years.
