Norman Hammond, Phd. Boston University

The principal investigator and director of Nohmul Archaeological Project.
At Rutgers University, Dr. Hammond was a professor of Archaeology until 1988.

I do recall Norman telling me to wear red when the National Geographic photographer was
scheduled to shoot my excavation unit...

Dr. Hammond moved on to investigate the neighboring site of La Milpa from 1992-2002.
He continues to lecture internationally about La Milpa and the Maya. A recorded interview promoting
two local New Zealand lectures appears on Radio New Zealand's Site from 2013.

The interview was entitled, "Developments in research into the ancient Maya civilisation"

A video lecture by Dr. Hammond in 2011 at The Royal Society of New Zealand was entitled,
"The Mysterious Maya: an ancient American Civilisation"
