Luna Moth – Returning from the mailbox today, I spotted this Luna moth on the tire of my car. I captured it in a plastic bag and released it in the backyard. I followed it to where it landed and took this photo. It is actually upside down as the moth landed upside down on the bottom of a leaf, (probably as camouflage), However, the picture is almost incomprehensible if shown in the correct orientation.

Beginning today, I’m going to post the first shot of the day on PBase. It will be the only photo I post on PBase and won’t appear in any other gallery. This will occur for 3 months, (maybe until my subscription runs out). The reason for this is that I really need to discipline myself more in shooting. (I was going to do only 1 shot a day but with autumn coming up, I don’t think I can afford the time to do only one). Thus, the shot I put up is intended to be my best shot of the day. In reality, I expect more than 50% of them to be little more than throw-a-ways. Also, I will be limiting myself as to how much editing I will allow myself to do. No “artsy” type editing will be allowed.
