Making Dinner.jpg

Texas

So, to be honest, I'm not actually thrilled about this photo. Unfortunately, it was a bad photographer day, and nothing that I took turned out even halfway decently, so I ended up using the best of a bad lot in my mind. But that's how we learn, right? And learning is what doing these challenges is about.

Thus I present...part of my dinner!

(By the way, it ended up TASTING a lot better than it photographed. Fresh asparagus lightly sauteed in olive oil with salt, pepper, and dill, then tossed in a bit of balsamic vinegar. It served as a side dish to some lovely fish and a bit of pasta with alfredo sauce.)

I also took it in color, so you can see it in my regular PAD gallery with all of it's bright green freshness visible.

I hate bad photo days at the time, but looking back they are great because mistakes cause more learning :)
For myself I would try and lighten either the asparagus or the bowl during processing.

I seem to learn best from my mistakes. Luckily. It looks delicious!

I think the colour's better as well, but this is ok too! Has a sort of documentary feel to it :)

I definitely like the color photo better. But I'm going to have to remember that recipe. I usually do asparagus on the grill, but this sounds quite tasty.

I like this theme. Eat. Learn. Eat. Learn. Eat. Learn.

We all know they are green. This is a different vision.
