Very early mock up. When we cut the roof off this car the body became very flexible to the point of never being able to be driven. We wound up building a sub-frame out of heavy plate steel. I know it was welded to the bottom of the car but exactly what or how I don't know. I wasn't involved in that part of the project.

Note the use of 1/4" masking tape to establish the edge of the character lines.
