This was a prototype we built for Ford Motor Company.

In 1974 the Mustang underwent a major rebuild on the Pinto chassis and this was the first portent of the change to come. The Sportiva made the car show circuit to test the market reaction. As time for the new Mustang grew closer another "Sportiva" hit the circuit - the Sportiva II. This was much closer in general appearance to the new Mustang but retained the Targa configuration of the original Sportiva.

Of course the Targa idea was never put into production and the Mustang built on the Pinto chassis was never popular with the muscle car market.
