Here come that NAS again

Every photographer feels it.
When Nikon Acquisition Syndrome strikes.
There is nothing to do but get something Nikon.
It is the only cure for NAS.
And so today, the box arrived.
Obviously this one was justified.
See, I will be going to Disney soon.
My 70-200 VR is an absolute beast.
I love that lens but it is huge and heavy (and expensive to replace!).
There was no way I wanted to lug it around Disneyworld.
But I wanted to have real camera gear on this trip.
So how do I have real cameras and have it light?
This lens weighs in at 12 ounces.
Almost the same range, but a MUCH slower lens (Duh).
I didn't get it to shoot sports though.
Just mice and goofy dogs and ducks.
It is the perfect knock around lens for the trip.
Very Very excited.

PS: It may also be my last DX lens now that the D700 is out ;-)

I am also a NAS sufferer, but I did trade my 70-200VR for the lighter 70-300VR and I do carry it with me more often but I do miss the old beast ...
