John was the only child born to, Kirk Stanton & his wife, Ethel [Miller] Stanton, on 10 January 1930, in St. Joseph, Buchanan, MO. On 27 January 1949, in Troy, Doniphan, KS, he married, Ruth Anna Kimsey. Together this couple would share 02 children. Ruth Anna died 31 December 1974 & is buried in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Gladstone, Clay, MO. On 19 July 1975 in Gladstone, John married, Sarajane [Coatney] Mann. Together this couple reared John's two girls & Sarajane's two boys from her own previous marriage. John died 03 January 1995, in Smithville, Clay, MO and is buried next to his first wife, Ruth Anna.
