Chocolate Cherry Microwave Cake

1 Chocolate cake mix
1/4C Salad oil
1 ts Vanilla
2 Eggs
1C Cherry pie filling
1C water

Add eggs, oil, water & vanilla to cake mix and beat per instructions on cake mix box.
STIR in the cherry pie filling
Add the mixture to a greased microwave bundt pan
Cook on 50% power for 10 min & then cook on 100% power for 6-8 min. I set it for 6 min and then test the standard way with a tooth pick for doneness

Remove from oven & cover with plastic wrap for about 5 min.
Remove plastic wrap and let cake cool completely before removing from bundt pan
After I frost it (see below) I add chocolate sprinkles and arrange some of the left over cherries on the top of the frosted cake

The cake is good plain, sprinkled with powdered sugar right before serving or frost with pudding and Coolwhip frosting, recipe below

Coolwhip Frosting:
1C cold milk
1 Pkg Instant Chocolate Pudding (4-serving size)
1/4C Powdered sugar
1 Tub of Coolwhip (8oz)

Pour milk into medium bowl.
Add pudding mix and sugar
Beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes
Gently stir in whipped topping
Spread on cake immediately
Store frosted cake in refrigerator
