the point

Traverse Bay, Elk Rapids, MI; post sunset set; long exposure. This point is just about covered with water and ripple waves. In recent years more land has shown, as the lake levels were low.

For me this is a reminder of one that got away. As good as this light and water conditions are, they don't compare to the previous night when we drove by and I did not have the camera with me. When will I ever learn.

Even if this doesn't compare to the "one that got away" it's still very yummy. At least you returned and made the effort. Many wouldn't. Voted

When will any of us....? It is always the one when you don't have your camera. :p|
However, this is absolutely gorgeous and I'm glad you went back for it. V

That's Murphy's law for you, but I still think this is a very beautiful image. This is my favorite kind of light when you don't know what will happen next or when or how it will look when you get home. I like the expanse in this too. "V"
