The Lynx

LYNX “America ’s Privateer” sails as a living history museum, serving as a classroom for the study of history, ecology and the environment. Lynx also offers a sail training voyage to Hawaii . The LYNX crew wear period uniforms and operate the ship in keeping with the maritime traditions of early 19th Century America . Lynx is an interpretation of an actual privateer named Lynx built by Thomas Kemp in 1812 in Fell's Point, Maryland
