Sarracenia. These North American pitcherplants forms the biggest pitchers in height. Some of
them can grow to 100-120cm and catch hundreds of insects!!!
They have a lid that protect them for rain ( except S.purpurea forms ). They produce sweet nectar
beneath the lid ,right near the opening of the pitcher. When an insect is trying to reach the
lovely nectar ,she has to pass the waxy and slippery opening ,most of them will end in the pitchers!!!
