Rosé Rose

I know……. another rose shot..
I wanted to see what I could do with a macro lens..
So before seeting off for a few days in the Big Smoke I took this...

It's only a 1:0.5 macro so I may upgrade at sometime but it will do for now.

I’m not sure if I prefer the colour or the B/W below

0.3s @ f5, ISO 50 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Can I vote for B&W? Not as subtle perhaps but I like the impact of the monochrome.

So beautifully captured and presented. I can't say I like one more than the other. Each has its own feel and mood. Wonderful work, Ian. :)

I'm drawn to the color image as well. The detail and colors are so beautiful and you've caught it in the perfect moment - before fully opened.

This is teriffic.... the way the petals form in a lazy meandering circle is wonderful and just right focal sharpness makes this a winner!

Beautiful shot! I like both versions, but lean a bit more in favor of the color one. Tones in the B&W are less subtle.

Great shot. I prefer this color version. Very delicate with subtle shades that were lost in the B/W.
