A pair of Superb Fairy-wrens.
Both females. I have photos of a male part the way through loosing his breeding colours. They are tiny as you can see from the size of the grass and pebbles in the photo.

I will be going back to photograph them the TC 2.x shortly and the 200 2.8 because it has a smaller minimum focusing distance. If I sit still they come within a metre of me. AIservo is useless with these birds because of their size, they are smaller than the focus area and of course it misses. It is bad enough with AF, but with the TC I will have to rely on MF because the birds move too quickly.

The next challenge is to photograph some of the swallows in action, but I think I need a faster focusing camera
