Blackcap female, North Ronaldsay, Orkney

The Blackcap was the most frequently found migrant warbler. Most days several could be located in habitat varying from the dense fuschia thickets at Holland House garden to open and windy spots by the sheep dyke. This a a female bird as can be seen by the red capped head.
