I am hoping for some information on the Awash area, specifically about the advisability of traveling on the Awash River. Do you know, or know where to find out, the distribution of hippos/crocs on the River? Are there any above Awash Falls? I am interested in making a self-supported river trip in this area, but hope to avoid dangerous wildlife with which I am not familiar... Any experience from the area you could share would be helpful. Thanks!
