Beach Sweep

Mellon Udrigle, Scotland.

Mellon Udrigle is a quite beautiful beach blessed with a fabulous mountainous backdrop. This New year I was staying with friends near Gruinard Bay and I took an early morning trip to the beach and was confronted by a really moody sky, luminous green water and a row of mountains which were indigo. The light must have seemed unspectacular but I was entranced and waited for the draw back of large wave to give me this delightful surreal appearance against the red sand beach.

I do hope that folk enjoy this shot it has grown on me enormously I am going to print it very large for myself.

NEW!! Photographic Workshops at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Beautiful scene, great effect with the slow shutter speed.

I like the sense of motion and the serene mood. The serene mood I see primarily from the colors and sparce simplicity.

They say hang an image you like (just the print) on the wall for a week and if it still gets to you it is a keeper. While I would think since you seem to shoot all keepers this is not necessary - but see why you like it.
