Elgol Honeycomb

Elgol, Skye, Scotland.

Sandstone rock perforated like honeycomb gives way to dark horizontal plates of rock at Elgols most magnificent coastline. The view across the bay towards the cuillins is heaven sent for photographers especially when raking sunlight makes a guest appearance near sunset.

NEW!! Photography workshops at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

In thumbnail view at first I thought this was Egypt (with a pyramid in the distance!); either I need an eye test, or I failed to recognise what is, by a distance, the best view in Britain.
