Skating on thin ice in a most un-balletic fashion with my tripod I slid and slithered my way over to a partially submerged tree on the edge of a brightly lit reed bed. The Fannichs rise behind Droma coated in long dead rusty bracken. I was blessed with pure blue skies which are normally not a landscape photographers best friend but they certainly made a vivid contrast with the yellow reeds and brought the picture to life.
