Gardenstown Velvet

Gardenstown, Banffshire, Scotland.

I'm just back from a very pleasant four day masterclass in Glencoe with another three photographers. "Your tripod's in the post Stewart". Good company and our combined enthusiasm shone through making light work of any situation even when the weather refused to cooperate.

Gardenstown nestles along the Moray Firth coast towards Fraserburgh and Aberdeen along with it's immediate cousins Crovie and Pennan the little village has houses precariously sited at the base of velvet green grass covered red sandstone cliffs. The gable ends face the sea for they are often lashed by fierce storms. Although avoiding the parked cars in the scene was impossible your eye is inevitably guided towards the delicious folds of greenery that drape the cliffs down to the seashore.

If anyone would like to join me on another photographic workshop/masterclass contact me at TRANSIENT LIGHT.
