Half way up the steep sides of Tom Na Gruigach is a small plateau that is strewn with large eratics. It offers a brief rest stop before the steep climb resumes to the summit some 1.5 hours later. On this particular day I was to encounter some of my very favourite weather conditions as clouds and sunshine skirted the mountains and I found myself on the very edge of light.
