Lavender Fields

Mezel, Alpes, Provence, France.

A million buzzing bees, shimmering rows of purple lavender and in the midst of it an old barn come outhouse surrounded by the heady aroma of mountain lavender. There was simply acres of the stuff and though perhaps not as manicured as some I never-the-less enjoyed this high altitude location for its wide open feel and endless heat. The bees were all too drunk on the fragrance of lavender to bother with my intrusion.

Great perspective with all the rows leading to the stone hut. Like the way the clouds appear to be lining up too!
