Turbulent Seas

Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.

Arriving before dawn in April requires a 4am start. This spectacular section of coast overlooking the Moray Firth was covered in a blanket of grey clouds that stretched almost to the horizon. Almost being the operative word as a small gap permitted the most glorious crepuscular rays to form ladders of light down to the sea. The long exposure shows the Bowfiddle rock being pounded by rough seas adding to the drama I was so fortunate to behold.
