Twilight Portknockie

Bowfiddle Rock, Portknockie, Moray, Scotland.

A 4.30 am drive down the Moray coast towards Portknockie to arrive just as the first hints of morning are starting to spread across the eastern sky. Bow fiddle is an impressive sea arch some indication of scale is conveyed by the white spots of sea gulls that pepper it's top. I realised that the twilight blue of the sky combined with a moderately long exposure was going to recreate some of the beautiful atmosphere of this very special place.

A very striking image! Nice visual tension that focuses on top of the rock.
