Creel Pot and Castle

Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Duich, Scotland.

It is very hard to find a novel viewpoint of such a celebrated icon like Eilean Donan castle. The two weapons left in your armoury are unusual composition and spectacular lighting. I found some colourful lobster pots something I hadn't seen there before and waited and waited and waited and.. well eventually a shaft of light beat its way through heavy cloud cover and for a few seconds the castle was lit by a shaft of light.

Ian ... outstanding capture. You're right in your description of this famous landmark ... difficult to get a new perspective but you've managed to capture not only a new angle, but the colors and the ominous sky are dramatic and beautiful all at the same time. Voted
