Tangerine Dream.

Near Nairn, Scotland.

Looking like a scene out of middle Africa, this group of scots pine on agricultural land, is actually north Scotland close to the town of Nairn and visible from the A96. Only once have I seen it this colour and I was fortunate enough to have my camera with me. Unusually I have been able to keep the intense fire ball of the sun in the shot because floating over the sea is the legendary Scottish Haar (sea mist). The result is a seriously diffused sun and localised diffraction in the water droplets causing the luminous glow above. Lucky me...

Yon wild mossy mountains sae lofty and wide,
That nurse in their bosom the youth o' the Clyde,
Where the grouse lead their coveys thro' the heather to feed,
And the shepherd tends his flock as he pipes on his reed.

Not Gowrie's rich valley, nor Forth's sunny shores,
To me hae the charms o'yon wild, mossy moors;
For there, by a lanely, sequestered stream,
Besides a sweet lassie, my Tangerine Dream.

Ian

You expressed a thought "lucky me",I would like to correct you "lucky for all of us" that
your visions are so sobering that they touch our souls. Thank you for all this.
