I take relatively few people pictures and when I do it is usually children. They are always so unphased and natural in front of the camera. The girl's black skin and the contrast of the light made photography difficult I used the whitewashed sides of a hut to bounce light back into the shadow side of her face, but it was the ebony black eyes that captivated me the most they really were quite startling.
