During my visit to the tiny village of Chimanimani in the Eastern highlands of Zimbabwe I was shown around by the school children, visited there beautiful rondaweils (homes) and went to a class. My favourite bit was when they introduced me to their church. African folk love to sing and the kids were no exception to the rule. They took great delight in singing me their national Anthem (Mugabe wasn't popular then let alone now), it was truly glorious, imagine my horror when i was expected to reciprocate with our own national anthem. Oh well at least they thought it was funny.
