Coniston Blue

Coniston Water, Cumbria, England.

A 3.45am visit to the edge of Coniston Water near to the steam boat jetty. I saw the potential for an interesting but very serene image as the twilight blue gave way to the soft pink light of a sunrise which kissed the mist hanging wraith like above the water. The mirror smooth reflection completed the magical scene.

Pentax 67 II ,55-100 zoom,Fujichrome Velvia
F16 at 20 seconds, 0.45ND grad to horizon to balance reflection and sky. full exif

Fantastic image well done. I also shot some long exposure shots at sunrise on the Lake District and think they are my best shots so far so must return there sometime. I do love the blue in your shot.
