Kessock Bridge Inferno

Inverness, Highlands, Scotland.

It is rare that the recorded colours on transparency film exceed the colour gamut possible on the computer with photoshop but this is one such case. The extraordinary sky colour of dawn over the Ness bridge spanning the Moray firth at Inverness was of such luminosity that I am unable to match the astounding colour of the original slide. This is the best I could do.

Pentax 67 II ,55-100 zoom,Fujichrome Velvia

Dear guest I know it does. I have been back to this slide so many times, on all my sites. I have checked the red glow and its relation with the other colours countless times but I swear blind it is visually correct to the original Velvia tranny. What's more the intensity of the red on the Velvia original actually exceeds my ability to reproduce it here. However I can assure you that it has not been heavily worked in photoshop. as with all my slides I try to accurately match the colours of the Velvia original as seen on my lightbox. One last thing I cannot guarantee that what you are seeing on your monitor is the same as what I am seeing on mine. Mine is calibrated I assume yours is too.

Simply the best landscape photos I've ever seen! The use of light, water and sky are astounding! VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Lovely Shot, your gallery is a sight to behold, for sure... Bit too much colour saturation in this one though for my liking, but hey, that's just me....
