Hobbit Shires

Wastwater, Lake District, England.

This little pack bridge near Wastwater looks like it might be the gateway to the Shires made famous by Tolkein "Lord of The Rings". I was lucky to get such an interesting patchwork of light painting them hills.

A little oversaturated for me, but beautifully composed and executed just the same. What a lovely part of the world Cumberland and Cumbria are...and I should know...my ancestors were Cumbrian.

Beautiful shot; reminds me of the time I was there in the Lake District in Windermere. Lovely greens, very calm and peaceful. Wish I had even a little bit of sun when I was there but it was not to be. :-)
