Beech Cathedral

Glencoe, Highlands, Scotland

This delightful grove of mossy beech trees grows adjacent to the Glencoe river and forms a converging set of cathedral like pillars spanning a lumpy footpath. It was taken in late winter before the new Spring leaves start to bud which simplifies the colour palette to grey and green. It was taken just after sunset on a grey winter evening.
