Returning from Achnahaird bay on the Inverpolly coast after a sunrise visit it became quickly apparent just how still the air was and how little disturbance there was on the sheltered bays on Loch Lurgainn particularly at this popular spot which harbours a reed bed and a heather clad island. Careful positioning of the reflected snow covered hillside in the water such that the coloured bands envelop and contain both the island and trees, resulted in a very pleasing shot reminiscent of the Zen in a Japanese water garden. I found it quite magical.
