Big Sky Luskentyre

Luskentyre, Harris, Scotland

Surely one of the biggest and most majestic beaches in the UK. Luskentyre bay is so vast that sunrise and sunset are viable options. I like to wander out into the huge expanse of beach and feel dwarfed in this big sky location. Low amplitude sand patterns provide a subtle and intriguing foreground which doesn't intrude or detract from the grandeur of the backdrop or the magnitude of the sky.

I agree they don't intrude or detract; indeed, I daresay they add to the whole.
