Cove Bay, Moray, Scotland
The setting sun kept promising to burst forth and finally it did it painting the sandy beach at Cove Bay on the Moray coast in glittering gold. Even the seaweed covered rocks were transformed. A hole in the sky briefly opened up so I adjusted my shooting position marginally to ensure that the reflected blue of the sky was captured in the tide pool. I was dangerously close to the axis of the sun but managed to shield it very carefully thus maximising contrast.
