Jurassic Nursery

Cove Bay, Moray, Scotland

Walking through the eroded sea cave at Cove Bay permits much longer and more detailed exploration than is usual thanks to the strip of sculpted coastline given its twice daily break at low tide. Great care has to be taken as the rocks are tragically slippery, but after ten minutes of slithering about I came across a deposit of incongruous football sized coloured pebbles, typical of the Moray coast. They looked to me like a brood of dinosaur eggs which were being cradled by the womb of the weed covered cliff. I composed to form a 50:50 diagonal Yin/Yang split between cliff and cradle across the frame.
