I believe this to be just about the most spectacular of our British coastline. Close To John O Groats and at the extreme northern tip of mainland Britain it isn't the most accessible of areas but a half hour brisk walk prior to a summer sunrise will bring you close to this viewpoint. Several circumstances had to come together in order to record this scene. the inherently high contrast is effectively controlled by a tiny patch of cloud over the sun, the reflection line of the sun in the water was positioned to equally split the line of light around either side of the sharks tooth and finally being a silhouette all of the rock features had to be separated from each other to record as discrete entities - not easy.
